Early Life and Background
Midhun Ragamalika was born into a middle-class family in Ariyallur, a village in Malappuram district, Kerala. From a very young age, he endured a difficult childhood marked by emotional trauma and abuse. His father exhibited a toxic and violent temperament, subjecting Midhun to repeated physical and emotional abuse for minor reasons. Severe punishments, including beatings that caused bleeding, were part of his early years. His childhood home was a space of tension and fear.
Throughout this turmoil, his mother was his only pillar of strength, care, and emotional security. She protected and encouraged him, giving him the strength to survive and grow. Midhun credits his mother as the reason he endured and evolved into the person he is today.
Musical Career
In January 2018, Midhun released his debut devotional music album titled "Azhuthaye Thazhukunna Kaatté...", a song dedicated to Lord Ayyappa. He composed the music for the track, while the lyrics were written by his friend Ansari Basheer, whom he had met through social media. Interestingly, they had never met in person during the composition and release of the album.
The album was produced by his college-time friend Krishnakumar, and the video featured singer Sajith Sankar in the lead vocals, along with Midhun and Govind Velayudhan (runner-up of the reality show Mylanchi) in the chorus. Midhun himself also appeared in the video, along with Sajith, Ranjith Menon, and his cousin's son Niranjan.
The video’s cinematography was handled by Nidheesh, who had experience with MediaOne and the film industry. Ramuraj (AUM studio thrissur) programmed and recorded the song, and Biju P Nair, a fi lm editor, edited the album.
