In January 2018, Midhun made his official debut as a music composer with the release of an Ayyappa devotional song titled "അഴുതയെ തഴുകുന്ന കാറ്റേ...", featured in the album അഴലിനെ കഴുകുന്ന കാറ്റ്. This project was a result of emotional resilience and a collective effort that united talents from social media were the driving forces behind this project.

                        The song was sung by Sajith Sankar, with the chorus rendered by Govind Velayudhan, a well-known finalist from the Asianet reality show Mylanchi. Midhun himself also contributed to the chorus vocals. The lyrics were penned by Ansari Basheer, a poet and friend whom Midhun met through social media. The programming and recording were done by Ramuraj (AUM,studio thrissur), while the album was produced by Krishnakumar, a close college-time friend of Midhun.

The video featured appearances by several of Midhun’s close circles—Ranjith Menon, Niranjan (his cousin’s son), Sajith Shankar, and Midhun himself—contributing to its authentic and personal feel. The cinematography was handled by Nidheesh, who has experience working with MediaOne channel and the film industry, and the editing was done by Biju P Nair, an established editor in Malayalam cinema.

                         The song was recorded at AUM Studio, Thrissur, and gained appreciation for its serene mood, lyrical depth, and melodious arrangement. While the song carried devotional content, Midhun’s creative approach was more musical than religious, driven by aesthetic values rather than blind belief.
